- Whether mental illness can be considered when assessing whether a past conviction is for a "particularly serious crime" under 8 U.S.C. § 1231(b)(3)(B)(ii).
- Whether a noncitizen applying for withholding of removal must prove that their protected characteristic is "one central reason" for the persecution.
